Katie began her yoga journey in 2001, during a rigorous Graduate degree schedule, as a means of calming her mind, and body. What unfolded was a regular practice, with plans to do teacher training “someday”. After spending several years as a performing musician touring the US, she settled in her hometown, Portland, and began a training in June 2015. Katie has over 1000 hours of teaching time in studio in several styles.

As bodies change over time, Katie has been focused on creating accessible yoga to bodies regardless of experience, or ability, and loves that All Bodies Strong has supportive equipment no other yoga studio has in the city!

Education, Certification, and Experience

Trained in a 300 hr hot power vinyasa style, she also has a Yin 50hr certificate, Art of Assisting from Baptiste Institute, and has attended several workshops, and is inspired by Leslie Kaminoff, author of “Yoga Anatomy."
